Club Meet Calendar 2020 - 2021

Swim MEETS

Swimmers are encouraged to attend BSA and QSA meets.

Where BSA and QSA meets have event qualifying times, swimmers can only nominate if they have swum the time at an approved qualifying meet.  BSA and QSA do not accept Club times or converted times as entry times for events that have qualifying times.

Which carnivals should you attend?

Performance level swimmers compete at a Greater Brisbane and State level.  These are BSA and QSA affiliated meets and it is a Club expectation that swimmers in the State and National Squads try to participate in the targeted meets.

Development level swimmers go to invitational meets aimed at new swimmers or swimmers who prefer a lower level of competition.  Development Squad swimmers are encouraged to attend a few carnivals each season.

General information about targeted swim meets

The Club does not expect swimmers to compete at all meets.  Please choose meets based on your own personal swimming goals.

B Grade meets generally don’t have qualifying times and are for swimmers wishing to obtain official times.

A Grade meets generally require swimmers to meet specific qualifying times which have been achieved at a recognised qualifying meet with electronic timing.

Please read meet flyers thoroughly before submitting nominations and understand your obligations with regard to qualifying times and fines.  Invalid entries will not be submitted and entry fees will be forfeited.

Coaches will be in attendance where they deem it is necessary for long term swimmer development.

Any queries may be directed to your coach at the end of training.
