Head Coach – James Boyce
James Boyce has over seven years of coaching experience. James holds a silver licence and has taken swimmers to Nationals for the last four years. James grew up on the Sunshine Coast and started swimming at Nambour when he was about 10 Years old under coach Glen Houseman. He then attended Nudgee College where he continued swimming under coach Vince Raleigh. James has worked under some high quality coaches including Peter Gartrell and Michael Sage. James last appointment was Head Coach at Cotton Tree and has coached at Australian Youth camps and the Australian Distance Camp. He has just come back from the USA after being awarded a scholarship to attend the American Swimming Coaches Association World Clinic.
Assistant Coach – Damian Bromley
Damian comes to us from St Edmund’s where he assisted the Head Coach to implement the swim program there. Prior to his role at St Edmund’s Damian worked for five years as the Head coach of the All Star Aquatics team at the Gap State School.
He saw a large growth in the club under his leadership and was a coach for some of the (JX) training camps in Brisbane as a result of his success at club level.
Damian has a Bronze Licence in swimming and is currently studying a Bachelor of Education by correspondence. He has a strong passion for coaching at all levels and is looking forward to developing and enhancing his own coaching skills while working here at the College.

Club Night Registration
MCA Swim Club prides itself on delivering technically correct swimming for all participants. We believe that swimming is a skill based activity therefore we teach current techniques across all levels in our program.

The purpose of the competitions arranged by the AIC (Associated Independent Colleges) is to promote and provide a range of sporting and associated activities.
